My son got another good report card (I’m so glad he takes after his mother), so on Sunday I’m taking him and some of his friends to see Iron Man 2. He’s sixteen, which means I’m not allowed to go in with him. I’m the chauffer not the chaperone, so I’ll have to wait until it comes out on DVD before I get to see it, but it looks good:

I'd also like to see the new Robin Hood movie, but what I’m really looking forward to is the return of some old friends:

How about you?

Which movies are you looking forward to this Summer?

I didn't enjoy the Mel Brooks spoof as much as I'd have liked, but I did laugh when they all got out their scripts after it looked like Robin had lost the archery contest :)

Back in the 70s,Mel Brooks did a short-lived TV version of the Robin Hood legend, called When Things Were Rotten. I have no idea how it would hold up now, but I LOVED it when I was a kid!

I swear, I thought I was the only person who still remembered that show. I still wake up at nights with the theme song running through my head.
