FindAWritingGroup.com

Putting on my FindAWritingGroup.com hat for a moment, I wanted to let you know that I just added a step by step guide to setting up a FAWG Yahoo group over at FindAWritingGroup.com

If you've been thinking about starting up a FAWG group for your state/country, but weren't sure how to go about it, just use the new guide (please note: you'll need a Yahoo ID).  The instructions are so simple, even a caveman could follow them.

Also, the FAWG LJ community is up and running.  If you'd like to come join us, you'd be most welcome.

Hi. I saw your Monmouth Creative Writing Group via this. I happen to live in Trenton currently. I'd be interested in checking this out one day though. The meetings are open to the public right? Could I come to the next one (I believe it's March 18)?

Of course! I won't be there myself, but they're a great bunch of folks.

What's your preferred genre? I'm wondering if the GSHW http://www.gshw.net might be of interest to you. We meet at East Brunswick library.

Interesting. I wish they didn't have those membership dues, because they are quite a bit closer.

I like fantasy and literary fiction, which are often seen as opposites, but I have fun with both in about equal amounts.

The membership dues go toward paying for guest speakers like Ellen Datlow (she usually speaks for us in the Fall), Neil Clarke (of Clarkesworld Magazine) and authors like Ty Drago (next week's guest speaker.

That said, our meetings are open to the public, though I encourage people to join to get the full benefits of membership (like critique groups, access to podcasts etc).
