As Senior Management would be the first to tell you, I’m a hopeless romantic. I’ve seen The Shop Around the Corner (with James Stewart and Margaret Sullavan) more times than a manly man would admit to, and though I feign indifference, I get choked up every time I see the last five minutes of Cary Grant and Deborah Kerr in An Affair to Remember.

That said, neither compares to the brilliance that, in my opinion at least, is the best on-screen wedding scene ever!

At first glance Ming and Dale (Max von Sydow and Melody Anderson) may not look like the perfect match, but there's no denying the chemistry - even if it is 3 parts contempt to 9 parts loathing.

How about you?

What’s your favorite romantical movie moment?

My favorite romance is David Lean's Hobson's Choice. Utterly delightful if you like a good old-fashioned Vulcan courtship. Which moment is my fave is impossible to choose ... but to stick with the wedding theme, Maggie tells Willy outside the church that "Preacher is going to ask if you love me. Either answer 'yes' or not at all." He says "I'll say yes. I'm resigned. You're growing on me."

Gives me warm fuzzies.

I haven't seen Hobson's Choice, but that's a great line :)
