If you have a particular favorite among these, please let the author know (and me too, if you have time). Also, if you've a link to a great post that isn't here, feel free to share.

I’ve been thinking about the format of these ‘Pics of the week’ entries.
At present, I only add a note to a link if it’s not clear from the title what the post is about.

Would you find it more helpful if I gave a brief description for each of them, or are you okay with things as they are?

Okay with things as they are. Thank you for posting them! Even if I don't regularly comment, I always appreciate these posts.

I think the way you're doing it now is fine.

I'm okay with just the post titles and the poster's names. Let's face it - titles are important, so if the poster doesn't use a gripping title, well, it's not your job to expand on it;)

OK as it stands. There's always a few bits of interest in there somewhere, so you are providing an excellent service :)

Ha! A fun insight for me.

I just opened LJ to answer someone's comment and your post flashed by, and immediately I said to myself, Hey, it's Friday!

Your post has now become a signature for Friday, something I recognize immediately and look forward to, a good signal for the week's end, meaning time to do something toward art, what we love. You've got something here!

I'll be returning after I clean up my e-mail inbox! I got sidetracked :)

I like things the way they are. I also have to agree with you that, while all these posts were great, the steampunk one was my favorite.

I love your lists of useful links, most of the time they go into my Memories folder. :)

A brief description of each link would be good. Not that most aren't already self explanatory but sometimes their titles don't give the full picture, or the post goes down a different path than the reader initially thought.

When sboydtaylor talks about making writing a habit, he makes a good analogy to people watching a specific TV show every week. When I tell myself I'm going to get some writing time in this week, I'm never that specific. I don't actually set aside a certain time period. I know when the kids were younger, I learned to write flexibly, grabbing any slot of time I could. I still work that way, but I wonder if I could actually dedicate time now, even say, "When they're all watching _____ on TV, I'll be writing."

First though, I have to conquer the guilt at doing something all for myself :) Do all parents feel guilty in this way, I wonder?

I'm ok with the way you present this blog. The titles grab my attention or they don't. That's the way it's supposed to be.
On another note, Steampunk-I didn't know where Wings got their name. Very informative.

A brief description would be good when the title doesn't really reflect much about the article. (as you did here for "Surprises")
