Three bits of good news

#1  Thanks again to everyone for their kind thoughts and good wishes for Rachel and Emma.  I'm delighted to say that they're both much improved, which means no blood test and no T-Rex urine sample required - at least for now.

#2  Tomorrow, double-Puddle winner, and title-writer extroadinaire, Barbara A. Barnett babarnett, guest blogs here on An Englishman in New Jersey.  I've had a quick read of her post, How Being a Theater Geek Has Improved My Writing, and I can tell you you're in for a treat.

#3  While wading through the near-two hundred unanswered emails I've received since Sunday, I came across this one from the good folks at Every Day Fiction:

'I'm very pleased to inform you that your story "Wild West Justice" has been selected for inclusion in Every Day Fiction's upcoming anthology.'

A quick check on their 'Top Stories' page showed me that my 100-word drabble is currently number three on their Top Ten Stories of the Year list and at number eight in their Top Ten Stories of all time [at least as far as EDF is concerned].

Needless to say, I'm well chuffed.

That's great news about your story!

And of course, I'm glad to hear Rachel & Emma are doing better...

Okay, so I don't have an icon.

But I didn't mean to post anonymously, to boot!
So FYI, that was me...

Thanks, though at 100 words, they should probably just stick it on the inside cover, where the acknowledgements go :)

Thank you, though I suspect my ranking has more to do the generosity of my LJ friends than anything else :)

Thanks, Bernie. It'll be the first time my fiction appears in print, so I'm more excited than perhaps a 100-word drabble anthology inclusion would normally make me :)

Thanks, Peadar. I figure if I never sell my novels, I could write a few thousand more drabbles and make my own anthology. What do you think? :)
