I'm in two minds about newsletters myself, but as you say, the post will be a useful resource for folks who are thinking about starting one up :)

Six habits of prolific writers by Riki Cleveland. Yes, the distractions and the procrastinating definitely hampers my productivity. A timer is a great idea. Fifteen minutes of Twitter/FB, then when it goes off - GET TO WORK. I'm challenging myself to try this for a week at least.
