An appalling drop in standards

Today, courtesy of my new best friend dragon_crier, the good folks over at The Book Bundle have posted an interview with me.

Now, I know what you're thinking: These guys have interviewed quality writers like Jocelynn Drake, and  bosleygravel, what are they doing wasting their time with the likes of you?

I wish I could tell you how this appalling drop in standards came about, but I'm sworn to secrecy.  Let's just say it's the last time they'll allow cameras at a Book Bundle Christmas party, and leave it at that.

So, if you'd like to read the interview, here's the link (and yes, if you're curious, my old gran does get a mention).

I hope you like it.

Very good interview, Jon. Lots of fine answers, though I'll note this one as it's so true:

TBB: What shouldn’t a blogger do?

Don’t be boring. Better no post at all, than a procession of uninteresting entries. That particularly applies to writers. If people find your journal dull, they may assume your writing is too.

Thanks, Marshall. Now all I need is to do is sell a book, and then someone might interview me about my writing ;)

Go, Jon, go!!! Nice interview. You know, I'm always amazed by how many comments you always have on your LJ, but as you say in your interview, it's because you always invite discussion. You're good at this! :)

That and the 53 false blog IDs I set up, so I can pretend to comment on my own posts :)

I just checked. No-one's left any complaints yet, so it can't have been too bad :)

Congratulations on the interview. Your tips in answering each question make for a a great how-to piece, very helpful--and encouraging to those of us who haven't quite taken advantage of the tools available.

What an awesome intro into the interview? Plus, an equally awesome interviewee. I feel I know a little bit more about you and that is always good.

Cool interview, Jon. You're definitely doing something right with your blog. Lots of fun posts here. I agree with you on the benefits it can have for a writer. I made evolutionary leaps and bounds since I first started posting.

Good interview.

Good responses.

And you even got the legendary question - "Where do you get your ideas?"

So, it's official. You're a writer.
