Possible Skullduggery
For the last week or so, I've been encouraging my LJ friends to vote for Casey, a cancer sufferer who entered an online Victoria's Secret contest.

Even though there's definitely something fishy going on with the vote count, I'd still appreciate it if you would please take a moment to go vote for her.  The poll closes on Monday.  I hope the (let's be polite and call it) 'unusual' voting patterns come to light, in which case there may well be a some kind of recount.

Palty Sow Week
Do you have a story or writing orientated website you'd like to promote during Palty Sow Week?  If so, let me know the details and I'll post a link.

I wouldn't worry. The kids were watching The Banana Splits, Scooby Doo, Whacky Races and a bunch of other old faves on telly the other day. I'm sure Deputy Dawg is on TV somewhere too :)

The banana splits! Ahhhhhhhhhhhh! I haven't thought about that show in years. Do you remember the other Sid and Marty Krofft kiddy shows? Sigmund and the Seamoster, the Bugaloos, HR Pufnstuf? Acid trip-city, man. Whew!

I want Casey to win, so I've been voting for her every day, and I've sent the link to both daughters. They have been voting even if they had missed a day or so, but they have also sent the link to friends. Now I think VS tinkers with the votes. If they do, I'm not buying another bra from them. Ever.

I have been voting every day, and the number never changes. I know I'm a cynical person at heart, but it does get one wondering...

That and the fact that Casey was in first place with what I'm sure was only about 18,ooo votes on Friday (almost double what the current leader had). Both girls seem to have acquired well in excess of a quarter of a million votes since then, yet the girl in third still has less than 5K.
