Wow, Jon. She's quite a score as a guest. And your other two future guests look like fun, too. Wish I could be there, but nobody ever comes to northern Florida, or even Alabama or Georgia. Guess I live in the boonies.

I can't take any credit. I don't arrange the guest speakers, I just make the flyers ;)

Boonies? Is that something to do with boon-docks?

The library's only an hour's drive away according to my GPS. I may just show up on the 12th

Wow, I didn't know you lived that close. What direction will you come from?

I can't make the meeting myself - Senior Management will be in England for most of September, and finding babysitters for autistic children isn't easy, but I hope you go :)

We're very lucky. She seems to do a talk for us about once a year.

On the bright side, you have Cedar Point, all we have in New Jersey is that Statue thingy the French donated :(

Cool! What a great guest speaker.

Do you guys post newsletters on what was said at the meetings? I would love to pick her brain about quite a bit.

Lucky you :)

Rarely do people end up writing an article up after the meeting. (But we usually try and get someone to do so.) Unfortunately the newsletters are also currently only available to members. (On of those other perks of membership.)

We've been considering trying to record guest speakers... but that has been in the talks for over a year now.

Thanks for the response. The GSHW seems like a very interesting group of writers.

On a followup to this, the meeting was recorded. This was the first attempt so probably not a great attempt.

It's not a coincidence that Slurpies have been banned from future meetings :)
