Ah, and now that I finally went into LJ and manually tracked down the post, it stops giving me a service error message. But you will at times hear me refer to my own WIP as either "The Behemoth" or "The Monstrosity". This is part of the reason why. It is also why I'm spending a lot of time playing World of Warcrackcraft now, partly because I enjoy it, partly because I'm studying the world-building, as MMO-RPGs are still new things to me (hades, I never even played a computer-type game until I was the tender age of 35). It's to, sort of, back away a bit from my obsession with that storyline, take a breather from it. Sometimes, you need to back away, and do something else, to gain a fresh perspective on it. I think the story's worth it but, with all he subplots, and the side plots, and the gardening plot,s and so forth, what started out as a piece of microfiction in 1993 became... something other that what it originally was intended, which was a one-shot joke. And I need to try to find something key, ot put it all back into perspective. That means I have eto let my subconscious take over plotting for a while (again - since it is the fault of my subconscious that this thing grew so monstrously huge, in the first place).

That is to say, from subplot, upon subplot, upon subplot, upon, well, you get the idea. Hopefully, by the time it's done, it will be the better story for it.
