The only September writerly event I have scheduled is:

Sci-Fi Day at Olde Towne Books and Brew. Saturday, 22 September. Sponsored by the USS Susquehannock chapter of STARFLEET, the international Star Trek fan club.

Writer guests include Michael Jan Friedman, Lawrence Schoen, Darrell Schweitzer and me!

My next event won't be until November (The Great Allentown Comic Con). I'm editing/laying out a short story anthology over the next few months and will soon be undergoing knee surgery so I'm keeping the schedule light for now.

Eek! I hope the knee surgery goes well :)

I believe it will be a routine outpatient arthroscopic procedure, but I'll probably be off my feet for a few days at least...good time to write, edit, etc. :)

And I neglected to mention the location for Sci-Fi Day. It will be:

Olde Towne Books and Brew
36 E. Main Street
Mechanicsburg, PA 17055

In case anyone will be in the area.

I have nothing to promote, except for my gape-mouthed astonishment at your schedule. Great Gatsby, sir - do you not sleep?!

It looks a lot, but it covers two whole months. Besides, events are great fun :)

That is a lot. I don't know how you find the time. Since I'm laid off from work I have no cons planned as they're too expensive but I think I'll find some local writer's events if they're free. I mostly only like s.f. and romance though.

Libraries are a good place for free/low cost events. Good luck on the job search front. I hope you find something soon :)

Thanks, Jon. I have 19 years in computer related fields. I just wish Cornell IT hadn't gotten rid of their mainframe. There are still quite a few companies that find mainframe affordable. Maybe I'm a dinosaur but I think mainframe is safer security-wise. I'll check out what the local universities have going. I missed Ray Kurzweil at Cornell. It's funny when you work full-time you miss a lot of things. They had us stretched pretty thin the last few years.
