Yesterday, I watched Monty Python and the Holy Grail with my son. I never cared much for the TV show (Monty Python's Flying Circus), I don't think the humor dated well, and though I remembered enjoying the movie back in the 70s, I wasn't sure if it would still make me laugh.
Highlights for me were Arthur's epic sword fight with the black knight, John Cleese's taunting Frenchman (... 'I blow my nose in your general direction','go away you silly English kurniggets'), and of course the Knight's who say 'ni'.
Some of the jokes, though clever, felt a little stale and/or went on too long (like the 'coconut' and 'I am your king' discussions), but I certainly plan to watch it again sometime.
Now where did I put The Life of Brian?
