Folks who've met me, know I carry a little of what my old gran used to call 'Holiday weight'.
Sadly, when I tell you the last holiday I had was back in the mid-nineties, you'll know I've been lugging those excess pounds around for quite a while.
At the end of January, I decided enough was enough. I set myself a goal to hit my ideal weight (at least, ideal according to the Wii Fit) by the end of this year.
Two months in and I'm halfway there. As of yesterday, I'd lost 19 pounds. I already feel better for not having to carry the equivalent of 4 bags of potatoes around with me everywhere.
The Wii Fit no longer declares, 'That's overweight!' when I do my daily body test. Instead it says, 'That's normal!' (albeit with a hint of surprise).
At this rate, I may even be able to dig out my thong in time for the Summer swim season*
*Who says I can't write horror? ;)
