May I have the envelope please?

Congratulations to  Beth Cato 
(aka celestialgldfsh) 

In what turned out to be the closest final in Puddle Awards' history, with just two votes separating the top three places. Beth Cato (aka celestialgldfsh) won this year's
Meager Puddle of Limelight Award for Best Opening Line.

Elizabeth and Adrian also win an interview here, where they can bask in the meager puddle of limelight my blog will provide.

Thanks, Jon. I'm super pleased to have made it into the final round. Congrats to Beth and Adrian.
BTW - just received an email from Sam's Dot - my drabble entry received an honorable mention. Thanks for introducing me to the drabble contest.

Excellent! I love drabbles, but I got caught up on other things and never got around to entering :)
