Seven great opening lines have already made it through to the last round of this year's Meager Puddle of Limelight Award for Best Opening Line. Now it's time to select the best of the runners-up which will join them in the final.
I've put the second-place finishers from each of the first seven rounds into a poll below. The one with the most votes will join the other heat winners in the final.
