I think there are a few characters missing, but this still made me lol, out loud :)

If you're going to PhilCon this weekend, have fun. I hope to see you next year.

This is awesome, although I do agree that they're missing a few. (Woman in skimpy outfit, woman in skimpy outfit who we all wish would choose a different costume, various people dragging each other around on chains, etc.) But, hey, they got some good ones at least. ;)

LOL! Totally on the "woman in skimpy outfit" categories. Good lord, This!

The last time my wife and I were at a con, we watched one set of these, wondering how many of the men oogling them were going to get home, look at their pictures, and realize it wasn't a woman in a skimpy outfit they were posing with, but a very convincingly dressed Asian male.

Also, how's about a bazillion stormtroopers? Author no one has every heard of, sitting alone in the corner while people flock to have a world-weary Star Trek cast member sign their ears.

Also, Free Hugs Guy. *shudder*

...Author no one has every heard of, sitting alone in the corner.

That would be me :)

PS: Hey, I like that Free Hugs guy :P

If only one day *I* can aspire to be that guy, Jon.

Maybe I should have included bitter aspiring writer, wandering around, muttering to himself about "all these hacks" and "why won't the free hugs guy just leave me alone?"

Hah hah hah. Yeah, there needs to be a "not very convincing cross-player" and a "far too convincing cross-player" category as well.

And, yeah, definitely the free hugs guy (I agree...*shudder*), the abandoned author, and the million storm troopers, some of which have been decorated in bizarre ways.

I'd go for the "Star Trek cast member", but I feel like that's sort of been covered by the "actress who was only in one thing ever".

The con we went to featured Brent Spiner as a guest. I was never a fan of Data, and come to find out, neither was Brent!

I could see the fanboys visibly blanch when he said what an awful character Data was to play. He had some excellent anecdotes about being booed by Lauren Bacall which boosted my opinion of him a thousand fold.

I figured the "actress" one was any number of young women in a Joss Whedon production.

Hah hah hah. Oh, how fantastic. ;)

I suspect that the actress is also from a Joss Whedon production, although I could be mistaken.

Mine was the 300+ pound woman in the very small furry bikini with a tail ::shudder::

Sometimes that gets turned on its ear. Star Trek cast member rushes to have their book signed by author that no one (else) has ever heard of. Remember, this is the age of the Internet. Anything can happen, and probably will (eventually).

I had that happen a decade or so, when a DOCTOR WHO actor came into the dealer's room to find me because of our mutual love of certain children's illustrators.

:3 See? Not unheard-of.

That's because I'm a ROCK STAR. baybee! [self-deprecating grin]

Flintstones? XD j/k. But actors read, too.

...woman in skimpy outfit who we all wish would choose a different costume

Lol :)

There have certainly been enough men in women's skimpy outfits who fit that description, that I've seen at Cons.
