The Nuts & Bolts of Writing a Book

I'm looking forward to this evening, when I'll be moderating a New Jersey Authors' Network panel/Q&A, The Nuts & Bolts of Writing a Book, at the Manchester Branch of the Ocean County LIbrary (21 Colonial Drive, Manchester, NJ 08759).

My fellow panelists are J. B. Dinizo and Peggy Ehrhart.

Kick-off's at 7:00pm. If you'd like to come along, I'd love to see you there.

For those of us who can't make it there, will you write a book report?

No, but I do a post on the nuts & bolts of writing a book report, if you like ;)

If you have a specific question in mind, I'd be happy to include it in the session and let you know the answers given :)

Thanks. I can't think of anything right now (other than that a lot of book-writing seems to be trial-and-error: you write a scene, and then think of ans write an alternate scene, to see which one works better within context).

The one thing I can pretty much guarantee is that if you ask a hundred authors how to write a book, you'll get at least a hundred different answers :)

I would think you'd get at least one hundred and five answers, since some will revise, re-edit, and provide a completely separate response to the query as time advances.

And most of us do different things for different books too.

True. But I did post, linking back to here, on the one thing we all agree. >=}

Thanks, and yes, we can certainly all agree on that particular point :)

Indeed. One cannot write a novel, without it.
