Puddles, Panels, Promotions and Polls

Been a bit under the weather this last week. I spent most of Friday and Saturday in bed, but feeling much better today, so I thought I'd do a quick news round up.

PUDDLES
If you think you've got what it takes to win this year's Meager Puddle of Limelight Award for Best Opening Line, please follow the link for details of what you can win and how to take part.

Entry doors close at noon on Friday, November 5th  (US/Eastern).

PANELS
Here in the US, tomorrow is National Author's Day. I'll be celebrating by taking part in my very first author panel/Q&A at the Monmouth County Library (HQ), Manalapan, NJ, along with other members of the New Jersey Authors' Network

There'll be six of us in all:

Jon Gibbs (moderator),
Sandy Nicks, Stephen D. Matthews, Lee Barwood, Wallace Ecklof and Neal Levin (aka [info]dqg_neal*

The theme for evening:

From Thoughts to Print: Getting Your Book Published

It starts at 7:00pm, if you can make it, I'd love to see you there.

The Fur-Face CD/I are a writer! mug promotion is also going well.

They seem popular. If you've bought one, please send me a picture of you with it (along with a link to your blog/website) for the forthcoming 'Mugshots' page on my website.

POLLS
I'm conducting an unofficial poll about where folks buy their books. If you've got a minute, I'd appreciate your input.

That's about it for now, except to say:
               HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

I'll be on the porch this evening, guarding my candy stash from marauding minors.
