Wow, I really needed some of these links today! (busy angsting about my plot and how utterly lame it is without an overarching plot arc) Thanks for the consolidation of awesomeness :)

I'm glad they're of help, I only wish I was smart enough to write them myself :)

Thanks for all the links. Just flipping through a few of them is a good way to start the day, before writing.

I clicked on the link about why some chapters don't work particularly because I've been feeling that way about some of my novel chapters. It seemed that no matter how I revised, I had this nagging feeling something wasn't working. When that feeling doesn't go away, no matter how much you try to spice things up or direct tension, I think it could be time to start writing the chapter from scratch and seeing then what changes. Some of the old might filter back in, but it's sometimes liberating to just start fresh.

I haven't done it yet, nope. Keep clinging to that revised and revised and revised scene. But this post made me think it's time to try again.

my two favourite blog posts this week were http://www.jenniferfallon.com.au/blog/index.cfm/2009/6/1/10-Things-Authors-Should-Never-Blog-About (because we all need reminding not to blog about that chronic flatulence problem *g*) and http://www.jenniferfallon.com.au/blog/index.cfm/2009/6/2/International-Geek-Holidays (I wish I'd known about the 4th of May about 6 weeks ago *g*)

I like the 10 things authors should never blog about. If I'd seen that, it would have made my list for sure :)
