The Super-what now?

Note to self:

Grocery shopping on the morning of the Superbowl might not be the smartest idea.

Best of luck to both teams, though I confess, after seven years of living in the USA, I still don't understand the rules.

Obviously, I can't be sure,
but I think that was exactly my point.

Meanwhile,
common sense would suggest that intentionally throwing something on the ground
would be intentional grounding,
BUT IT'S NOT!!!

Technically they call it 'spiking the ball' to stop the clock, which, uh, makes it so much less weird?

But my point was that even just throwing a pass at no one can or can not be intentional grounding, depending on where the QB is when he throws the ball. So out of three different possibilities, only one is intentional grounding, and it's usually the one that seems the least intentional. ;)

Pfff, common sense has no place in sports! Weirdly evolved rules and superstition are what sports are all about! Now you'll have to excuse me, if I don't go dust the front hallway, the Steelers won't win... ;)
