Query/submission update

After a lot of pruning (62,000 down to 55,000), I finally sent my YA urban fantasy, Fur-Face to the editor who requested the full ms at the Write Stuff conference a couple of months ago.

On the short story front, I have two over at Every Day Fiction, both 47 days (not expecting a reply before June 10), and got two other stories rejected, one from Flash Me  (18 days), the other from Flashquake (72 days )  .

Jon! That's fabulous! Good luck doesn't fit, as there is no luck involved. I come across this problem a lot lately, it seems. I'll say--hope the editor LOVES it! And try not to chew your fingernails down to nubs while you wait.

Thanks, and good luck with the washer/dryer search :)

By the way. I found another hilarious Morecambe & Wise sketch on Youtube. This one with Des O'Connor

I don't think I've seen that clip before, or if I have I've forgotten it.

The washer-dryer idea has pretty much been knocked on the head. Too many negative reports for us to do away with the separate (and reliable) washer and dryer.

I've watched it about a dozen times with my fifteen-year-old son. It has everything in it about M & W that I used to love :) Especially ". . . I like 'im."

I used to have a washer/dryer combo. It worked fine, but everything took longer because you couldn't do both at once, if you know what I mean.

You could give away free razors with every copy...

But then I'd have to change the title to Smooth-Face :)

You could do excellent adverts with "before" and "after" photos!

That's awesome, Jon. Get your short list of agents ready if the editor makes an offer. :)

Good luck with the partial. :)

I have no problem sending in shorts now, but I know I'll be biting my nails to the quick when it's time for the novel queries.
