A quick update

WOTWAY Week
I had planned to host a WOTWAY (Where on the web are you?) Week here, but I've decided to postpone that until the new year.

The VIRTUAL CHRISTMAS/HOLIDAY BAZAAR is well underway. If you'd like to take part and/or check out some great gift ideas from some of my creative friends, click here for more details, and links to a cuple of similar online events.

PUDDLES: Round six is open
We're into round six of the qualifiers, in which the runners-up in rounds one thru five battle it out for the last spot in the final of this year's Meager Puddle of Limelight Award for Best Opening Line. If you haven't yet voted in round six, you can find it here.

AS SEEN ON TV

A few brave/foolhardy souls asked me to share a link when my small screen debut appeared on EBTV's streaming website. It's a four-step process, but if you're determined to see
my shiny-headed self being interviewed about blogging by the lovely Barbara Reiss, here's how to get there:

Step 1: Go to http://www.ebpl.org/ebtv/VOD.cfm

Step 2: Click on 'This Week in E.B.' (to the right of the TV picture)

Step 3: Click on 'TWEB 1400 Dec 2 2010' (I'm about 23:30 in)

Step 4: Run screaming from the room.

That was really nice! You did very well. ^_^ It's funny how I know you're "an Englishman in New Jersey" and yet I forget to expect the accent (which I love, btw).

(Speaking of, do people tend to rave about your accent or does it never come up? Just curious as I was raised in the south & my "southern" comes out every now & then and it's funny how people immediately want to hear "ya'll come back now, ya'hear!" or some such.)

Thanks, I wasn't worried about being in front of the camera, but I was worried I'd succumb to a fit of the giggles (I'm a terrible giggler when I'm in a tense situation, like funerals), but I managed to control myself :)

People do mention my accent from time to time, though some folks think I'm Australian - I have no idea why.

Woooooooooooohooooooooooooooo! That was fabulous, Jon! Nice to see you almost in real life.

Wow, talk about clash of the accents! English vs. Joisey. My accent is NOT that thick, but I'm afraid it does come out once in a while.

Thanks for posting this, lovey!
