I can’t speak for the audience, but I had a hoot and a half giving my blogging talk and workshop for GLVWG (The Greater Lehigh Valley Writing Group) last Saturday. I’d say around forty or so came to the morning presentation – it was hard to tell because I kept on the move, so as to make myself a harder target.
I do know that twenty-seven people came to the two-hour workshop I ran that afternoon. I’ve had some nice feedback, for which I’m extremely grateful, and (as far as I’m aware) nobody asked for a refund, so all in all it was great preparation for my television debut, to be filmed at East Brunswick Library tonight.
If they don’t come to their senses beforehand, those charitable folks at EBTV are going to interview me and record brief highlights (assuming there are any) from my talk, Have Blog, Want Readers, for use in one of their shows, called This Week in East Brunswick.
Tonight’s hour-long presentation is similar to the one I gave the GLVWG, except this one’s less writer-oriented. If you’d like to come along, I’d love to see you there. Assuming all goes well, and I don’t make a complete idiot of myself, you can bet I’ll post a link to EBTV’s streaming website as soon as I have one.
Now, if you’ll excuse me, I’m off to the hair salon for a wax & polish – this head doesn’t stay shiny all by itself you know.ETA: I think it went well (I know I had a blast). Made some new friends, met some old ones, had fun - my idea of a great evening :)
