Welcome to the third (and final) qualifying round to select the finalists for this year's MEAGER PUDDLE OF LIMELIGHT AWARD FOR BEST BOOK TITLE.

What's at stake?  Bragging rights for the winner, as well as an interview and/or guest post here on An Englishman in New Jersey.

You can vote for as many entries as you like in each round (you'll need an LJ account to vote, but they're free). When the dust settles, the eight titles with the most votes from the qualifying rounds go through to the final (in the event of a tie, those in joint eighth position will both (or all) go through).

When you're making your decisions, it might help to imagine yourself strolling down the aisles at your local bookstore looking for something to read over the weekend (if you're not a fan of a specific genre, pretend you're buying something for a friend).  If all you could see of any book was the spine, would the title pique your interest?

What's been interesting about this contest is that not a single title has actually intrigued/hooked me. It seems that, as far as novels go, I'm just not title-oriented. And I hadn't previously been aware of that.

Ah, that's because I'm not allowing myself to take part. I'm sure Dracula vs. the Daleks would have got your vote :)
