When my time comes (hopefully many years and plenty of bestsellers/movie deals etc. in the future), I'll have one last piece of writing to publish, but it won't be in print, or even digital form.

My last words will be carved in stone (or marble - depending on how cheap my surviving relatives are).  I'm thinking, of course, of the words I want chiselled into my gravestone.

Here's what I thought I'd have put on mine:

Not that I'm the first of my family to chose our own words for the headstone:

Last words
Probably something like "Does this count as getting published?"

p.s. I found your blog via the LV Writers Group site. You might see me in November for your workshop. I run The Junk Drawer blog. While blogging is my first writing outlet, I'm interested in writing a book. Like most newbies, I'm having trouble getting beyond the first steps and thought if I showed up at the writer's group, it might light a fire under me.

Re: Last words
Hehehehe, I like that one :)

I tried to subscribe to your blog, Kathy, but you don't seem to have an RSS feed option. Is there a vital button I didn't see?

ETA: Not to worry, I found it.
