HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO SENIOR MANAGEMENT!

Today is Senior Management's birthday.  She's currently back in blighty with my eldest, which is a little sad (not least because there won't be any cake eating done here today).

On the bright side, no cake and candles means there's no chance of repeating last year's 'sprinkler' incident.  Something which never happens around my own birthday, since I long ago decided to stay 29.

Oh, I see we are exactly the same age. :p

And I hope it will be a wonderful day today. :)

I hope so too. She's taking my son to see the sights of London.

All of them in a single day?

Pretty much. The places worth seeing in London are in a surprisingly small area.

Hmm...
What comes to my mind is-
And here we have a German bomb that hasn't exploded in sev--
Oh, dear. Will everyone please run away? Quickly?

BTW,
If you happen across Fodor's London
or a Michelin Guide for London
from around 1964 and around 1982,
and they're not too pricey
(Ideally, someone will be throwing them away)
grab 'em and lemme know,
and we'll make some arrangement...
in as much as I'll have characters in London at those times,
it would be helpful to know what was and was not there...

Happy Birthday!

You could always have a piece of cake FOR her. It's the least you can do.

I can wait. We'll have one on Monday (well Tuesday) after she comes home.

If it weren't so darned hot,
I'd bake a cake, just to keep in practice.

I haven't baked a cake in a long time. Opening a box is so much easier :)

Happy Birthday! We have a senior management birthday coming up here. Any gift suggestions, I mean besides 'listening'.

Well, she's asked for one of those GPS thingies (after getting lost on the way to the airport last week).

You're brave, just being 13 once was more than enough for me :)

Happy Birthday!!!

29, huh? So what do you have to sacrifice each year to keep your youthful look? ;)

That actually left me baffled (the sprinkler incident), unless you meant one of the auto-shower things in case of fire.

It took me a couple of minutes to get that. Resolved: three red candles for thirty. one white for increment of fives, and four blue. Thirty, plus five, plus four - Jack Benny's age for an indeterminate number of years.

Lol, but if I did that, I wouldn't be able to make any more sprinkler jokes :)
