Three bits of good news

I have three bits of good news to share.

First off, I'm delighted to report that
Fur-Face is still #1 on OmniLit.com's top seller list (and has been for the last twenty-six days in a row).  I want to give a huge 'Thank you' to everyone who's bought a copy and/or helped me promote it.

Second, I mentioned a while back that I'm scheduled to do a 45-minute presentation on The Fine Art of Self-Promotion, for the GLVWG writers group in PA, well yesterday, I was asked if I'd be interested in following that up with a two-hour in-depth workshop, based on the same series, Nothing's confirmed yet, but I'm still excited.

Last, but definitely not least, I think I'm finally shaking off this rotten cold/flu-type bug I've had since the start of the month.  I hate being sick, so I tend to try and ignore an illness until it goes away, but it hasn't worked for me this time.  Thankfully, I feel much better today.  With any luck I'll have beaten this sucker by midweek.

How about you?

Got any good news to share?

I'm glad you're feeling better, at least...and congrats on the others, too ;o)

Um, yes, since it's come up,
I second that emotion, so to speak...

My University Alumni Magazine mentioned both my books.

And a published novelist who recently purchased
The Bohemian Girl and Other Stories
said that my story, "The Periodic Table"
"is darn near perfect"

Now that someone else is saying that sort of thing about my work,
I won't need to say so myself. At least not as often.

Lol, when saying nice things about yourself, it's always best if you can quote someone else :)

Hurray for you!

Good news? I just had a delicious curry, followed by dairy free ice-cream (raspberry), which will soon be joined in my belly by some tasty dark chocolate.

which will soon be joined in my belly by some tasty dark chocolate, but not for too long I imagine (though I wish I didn't :)

Whoooohoooo! Fur-Face is #1! Whooohooo!
(was that too much?)

Awesome news about being asked to speak for longer. Knock'em dead (obviously not literally . . . however, if everyone were dead you would not have to worry about snide remarks about your talk after.)

Glad you are feeling better.

Myself? Went to a baby shower this weekend. Twilight Saga Eclipse comes out Wednesday. I'm reading Will Grayson Will Grayson by John Green. That's all I got.

I made an awesome-looking berry cobbler today.

Congrats on your good news! What's the workshop going to be about?

I hope it tasted good :)

The talk is based on my Fine Art of Self Promotion blog posts.

Thanks, Vaughan. Sadly, no national good news on the football front, not that I honestly expected any.

This is all great news! I'm so happy to hear it.

Now, I really want to get back to reading your book. I was enjoying it already. One more week of this job and I hope to read for pleasure again :)

Congratulations! I'm excited you're also doing the workshop. You've gathered so much information on the blog and have offered so much, it's great you'll be passing it along in other ways. Hope you enjoy it. !!!!!

Thanks, Pat. If it goes ahead, it'll be fun :)

I'm sure you've already read but "The Big Damn Heroes Handbook," a Serenity RPG supplement just won the 2009 Origins award for best roleplaying supplement. I worked on it as a design writer which makes me an award winning author as well as award winning editor. I'm dead chuffed over the whole thing.
Jun. 28th, 2010 12:09 am (UTC)
I'm not surprised. Congratulations :)
Jun. 27th, 2010 10:46 pm (UTC)
