I've met Jonathan a couple of times. He's a really nice guy, and well-deserving of his success :)

I continue to find that if I read or talk about the process of writing while I am hip deep in something I'm working on, I get side tracked! That being said I skimmed through all of them and quite like them as a set. I'm being a bit lazy I suppose, but I give myself the right to be today. I will however join the "shout-out club for scrivener. Whether you plan everything out ahead of time or not, scrivener really helps you keep track of things in a meaningful fashion.

As far as publishing... I'm saying screw the big publishing houses, this is the age of the internet. has been for nearly twenty years. At least until I make it big with my own cult following...

A cult following would be nice :)

Although if an editor is going to complain about how poorly written, spell checked, and otherwise not up to snuff the materials that they have lately received are, said editor might want to consider spell/grammar said complaint before publishing it online - it kind of takes the wind out your sails. I'm just saying...

Lol, I guess, but it must be frustrating when folks send their (supposedly) highly-polished manuscripts that way.

Yikes! The one from Echelon Press is awful!!! People really do that?? REALLY? How do you take advantage like that?

I hope karma bites them in the bum too! Oh, wait...wishing ill on someone is karmically bad. Hmmm...instead I'll say, "May such people reap what they sow." There. That was nice, right?

Glad you liked it. There's a lot to think about before attempting fan fiction, I'd say.

Okay, I'm at my mum's and her computer speed is equivalent to the speed at which paint dries. I read some of the posts. Will read more when I am on a computer made in the past decade.

Nathan's and Jodi's I had read. They are brilliant those two. The rant . . .erm gripe from the publisher was powerful. Sad. I liked the taking rejection. Funny and Wise.

Thanks for bringing all these great links together. And thanks for the head nod again. :)

Ian Fleming, that is. Just a reference to the James Bond blog entry you did a while back . . . it's a bit off-topic so I waited until this was no longer your "current" entry.

Now I understand. You had me confused there for a while, not that getting me confused takes much doing :)
