As a teenager, I a) thought my writing was FAN-BLOODY-TASTIC, and b) I should be published by the time I was 20. God forbid, if I was as old as 25.
I hit a period of 'oh. Duh. I suck.' in my late teens. And now I am gradually getting more confident in my abilities and might find a home for a short story in the next year. (That's the goal, along with editing the novel) Novel publishing is a nice dream to entertain in my spare time, but I don't hold out much hope for it these days :-)
I appreciate you sparing me from further embarrassment :)
