I liked your pick of the week. It's very true.
We attended a seminar on dyslexia this week (our daughter has fairly severe dyslexia). It was fascinating and one of the biggest things we learned is how they are taught to hate/despise/loath reading by misguided, if well-intentioned, attempts to help.
