What are you reading at the moment?

By way of checking out the middle grade competition, I'm currently listening to The Fairy-Tale Detectives, the first in the Sisters Grimm series by Michael Buckley.
I love the premise, and I'm very much enjoying it so far.

How about you?

What are you reading at the moment?

Well, for commuting, I'm "reading" METAtropolis, by John Scalzi, Tobias Buckell, Jay Lake, Elizabeth Bear and Karl Schroeder. And for actual physically reading, I'm reading Queen's Hunt by Beth Bernobich.

I'm re-reading my favourite book, Roberto Calasso's "The Marriage of Cadmus and Harmony." Sheer poetry.

True, but as always, Green is good on voice and his characters are smart and funny.

I the Sisters' Grimm books. I'm about 1 or 2 behind on them right now though.

I'm currently (re)reading any book that will help me nail down the tone of my WIP.

I enjoyed The Sisters Grimm. Right now I'm reading your blog and catching up on all the others I've missed while I've been ignoring blogworld. =) When I'm not online, I've been reading Beyonders: Seeds of Rebellion by Brandon Mull. I enjoyed the first one (Beyonders: A World Without Heroes) and I'm enjoying this one as well.

Oh, that book looks like one I'd love!

I'm reading Stephen King's 11/22/63. It's fabulous.

By an amazing coincidence, if you move and/or change the numbers 11/22/63 to make a completely different date, you get my birthday! :)

I'm in the middle of two, which is pretty unusual for me as I usually read one book at a time. I was about 3/4 through Clockwork Prince by Cassandra Clare. Then a few days ago I had a little time to kill - not enough to risk getting sucked back into that book - and I wanted to read something fun so I picked up Fur-Face thinking I'd have a nice, enjoyable read that would be easy to put down. Well, needless to say, I am now several chapters in and feeling guilty about neglecting the first book. :D (And I already have a guess as to Fur-Face's identity!)

Cloud Atlas, I'm almost done with it. A joy to read, disturbing with An Orison of Sonmi~451 and quite a hoot reading The Ghastly Ordeal of Timothy Cavendish. It's so good that I'm making a point of avoiding spoilers which is rare.

I think I'm in the middle of about five books, but I'm trying to concentrate on The Stones of Summer by Dow Mossman. A friend bought me a hardcover copy; it's thick, and the writing is beautiful. Enjoying it in bits between life's hectic schedule.

I hadn't heard of the Sisters Grimm series. Interesting!
