Yay! We have a Hobbit trailer :)

It's not as entertaining as the production videos they've been making (which you can find here), but I'm still thrilled to see the first proper trailer for The Hobbit :)

How about you?

Are you looking forward to The Hobbit?

Absolutely adored it - I loved the LOTR movies to death, but still was a little worried because I was never as keen on The Hobbot as a book. But the look and sound and feel of just this little taste...

And there wouldn't be any children either... :o)

Maybe this will do instead {Stolen ashamedly from jhetley (who stole it first!)}:

"Stolen shamelessly (most recent from LAG on G+):

A driver was stuck in a traffic jam on the highway outside Washington, DC. Nothing was moving. Suddenly, a man knocks on the window.

The driver rolls down the window and asks, "What's going on?"

"Terrorists have kidnapped Congress, and they're asking for a $100 million dollar ransom. Otherwise, they are going to douse them all in gasoline and set them ...on fire. We are going from car to car, collecting donations."

"How much is everyone giving, on average?" the driver asks.

The man replies, "Roughly a gallon."

At first glance,
I thought these were opening lines,
and almost voted for
"I'm counting the days."

Have you seen the production videos? They really get you excited about next December, which may not be such a good thing, considering that's still twelve months away.

I've seen some of them, but I'm going to steer clear of them from now on. It will be all the more delicious for not knowing what to expect :)

Counting the days until it comes out, but not likely to see it in the theater.

It does look beee-yew-ti-full, though.

I'm in two minds about them splitting it into two movies, but in the long run, I'll be glad they did :)

I'm still trying to wrap my brain around Richard Armitage as Thorin Oakenshield. My wife on the other hand is thinking about Richard Armitage in other ways.

'My wife on the other hand is thinking about Richard Armitage in other ways.'

I don't see why, Andy Serkis was always going to play Gollum. Richard Armitage never had a shot ;)

"the first proper trailer..."

Was there an improper trailer? If so, can we have the link for that, please? -)

I've seen several. Fans cobble together still images, or snippets from the LotR movies and call it a hobbit trailer.

Yay! We have a Hobbit trailer :)

OH! You're talking about a Movie.

I though you meant... like a Travel Trailer, for Hobbits... ya'know?

My dad used to try and push me into reading The Hobbit and I'd refuse because I grew up watching the cartoon, so I thought I didn't need to read it. I finally did start reading it in high school but never finished it (I think I got to the part with Smaug). I plan on finishing it, though. I own Fellowship of the Ring but haven't gotten very far in reading it.

I love the movies. I think they're fantastic, and I'm really, really excited for this movie. I hope it's as epic and amazing as they've made it sound and look.

With Peter Jackson at the helm, it should be brilliant :)
