I can't remember what opening lines I've entered before... I don't suppose you keep a list by any chance?

I don't, sorry Vaughan, but if you use the 'Puddles' or 'Best Opening Lines' tag, you should be able to scour through thre related posts to find previous entries.

This makes a very good excuse to go through all the opening lines of all the stories I have of whatever size and do a comparison. I have a feeling that at least three of them start the same way.

I once wrote a piece to the prompt 'It was a bright and sunny day' but I promise not to use that one, either. LOL.
