Silver linings

Being a 'glass is half full' sort of guy, I've been trying to find the silver lining on today's little rain cloud (aka Eldest daughter off school due to upset tummy).

The best I could come up with is:

'At least she's finally learned to throw up in the waste bin if she can.'

Now, if I can just get her to empty it first in future...

I'm so sorry you've got a sicky home today. I've been dealing with that for the last couple of weeks too . . . first one kid and then another. So another silver lining for you . . . at least it's only one kid. ;-)

I just got all mine back to school yesterday . . . and on Friday they get out for two weeks (Fall Break). *sigh*

Hope yours gets feeling better (and that you don't get it).

I just hope the waste bin had a plastic lining...
:)

BTW, have you read/seen Brideshead Revisited?

It didn't, but like my glass, it was half full ;)

Oh...my...

I'll do you one better than throwing up in a full waste can--throwing up in a sink full of dirty dishes.

She got the keyboard of her laptop a couple of months back. It took Senior Management and abaout a hundred cotton buds ages to clean it up :)

That depends. Was it your baby, and was it under the comforter at the time? ;)

Sometimes, that's not possible. I can empathize with her, though, having been ion a similar position, several times, in my life.

I believe you are a "waste-can half full" sort of guy today.

Sorry.

Couldn't resist.

I've had my fair share of kerflooey computers. They can be pretty upsetting. I hope yours recovers soon :)

I've come to the conclusion that I wouldn't last long in medieval times. All that mess! :)

Reminds me of my college roommate freshman year... but he already knew before we lived together, so it wasn't too bad.

That reminds me, I need to make sure my college freshman son knows it too :)

I'm betting that next time you're buying a trash can, it won't be the metal mesh variety...

(Sorry, hope today is better!)
