Here’s my selection of interesting (and sometimes amusing) posts about writing from the last week:

Is the second novel really easier? (Douglas W. Jacobson)

Launching a Book (Elizabeth Spann Craig)

The Case for Putting a Manuscript in the Drawer (Nathan Bransford)

10 Signs of a Typical Writing Day (Elspeth Antonelli)

Asking a Published Author to Read Your Work (Rachelle Gardner)

Do You Really Need an Author Blog if You’re on Facebook or Twitter? (Judy Dunn)

My Inevitable Prologue Post (Sarah LaPolla)

Reader Impact: Why you should preorder (Mike Kabongo aka onyxhawke )

Penguin’s Book Country (Jim C. Hines aka jimhines )

If you have a particular favorite among these, please let the author know (and me too, if you have time).  Also, if you've a link to a great post that isn't here, feel free to share.

If you found these useful, you may also like my personal selection of the most interesting blog posts from 2010 and last week’s list.

You're a dashed liar.
None of these posts were about writhing.
Oh, wait, perhaps a few of them were....
Or maybe I should just clean my glasses...

Having put two novels in a drawer, I know what you mean.

This third one will be the one.

Egads, the second novel one and the asking a published author to read one RESOUNDED BIGTIME!! Especially this, from the latter:"...I can tell you they feel pressured all the time and while they may want to help, it's not always realistic for them to do so..."

When I clicked on "launching a book" it went to a "this page doesn't exist" notice.

As always, thanks, Jon!

Thanks for the headsup, Terri.

Elizabeth's post appears on my Google Reader, but not on her website. I'll check on it later, but I'm thinking she probably just took it down to tweak it a little.
